I am Neeraj Kumar Rathore,from Chhattisgarh and I am currently pursuing B.tech in Chemical engineering (3rd year) from IIT Guwahati.Apart from the study I am very much interested in playing hockey,writing poems.Currently I am holding the post of General Secretary,Sports Board under the Students’ Gymkhana Council 2019-20 at IIT Guwahati and I have represented the Institute hockey team in Inter IIT Sports Meet for the consecutively three years.Being the General Secretary at the Sports Board, IIT Guwahati, I am coordinating the overall sports activities of the student community of IITG.Under my leadership, along with all the club secretaries we encouraged and motivated the students to play different sports as physical and mental health both are very important.I along with my team,successfully conducted SPIRIT,the inter college sports festival of IIT Guwahati ,SPARDHA,the inter hostel sports tournament of IIT-G and introduced few club tournaments to encourage the sportsman spirit of the each individual.To encourage the Fit India Movement run by the Government of India,I have conducted the cross-country races (of 6.5 km) inside our campus.Apart from it,I have also conducted the summer and winter camps for the Sports enthusiasts of our college and led the IIT Today the country is facing very big problem due to COVID-19,in this difficult situation the initiative taken by all the 23 IITs under the mentorship of Mr. Sunil Shetty sir will surely help to move the whole country towards a healthy India.The WIN India movement will help all the students to stay healthy and fit.I personally and being as the GS,Sports at IIT Guwahati fully support the WIN India movement.
