I am Rahul Yadav, Sports Secretary of IIT Gandhinagar. I am a fourth-year undergraduate in the Department of Electrical Engineering. I am a sports enthusiast and love to play Cricket and Football. I have represented my Institute at the Inter IIT Sports Meet as a member of the cricket team. As a Sports Secretary, my aim has been to create new opportunities for everyone to play and learn. I believe a lot in teamwork and with the help of my sports council, I have initiated new Intra Institute Leagues of Badminton, Athletics, Women’s Cricket and Table Tennis at my Institute. We have also ideated and planned a first-ever Inter Institute Tournament of IIT Gandhinagar- Rank Kaushal, which is expected to kick off later this year. I strongly believe that sports is symbolic of life itself and we can develop and learn a lot through sports. Through, WINIndia Movement we can touch a lot of people and actually help them in realising the importance of fitness in their life.
