I am Soumarup Bhattacharyya, General Secretary, Games and Sports, IIT Kanpur. I am a PhD student enrolled in the Department of Aerospace Engineering. I have been actively involved in sports for the last 10 years. I have won several accolades in Bodybuilding, Weightlifting and Powerlifting. I have a record in InterIIT Sports meet and was Mr. InterIIT in 2019. I have played in State and National Level competitions. Being involved in a sport which requires an enormous amount of dedication towards diet and fitness, I strongly believe that this is the best time for students to get involved in fitness related activities and gather knowledge about diets and nutrition.

Lockdown is the time where we can introspect and find a purpose to our life. Health being one of the most important aspects of our life, I support this great initiative of WIN India Movement which will encourage us to promote fitness and well being. This initiative can take us a step towards a balanced lifestyle while staying at our home.
